OUR GUIDE FOR TRANSLATION

With global businesses, translation has a major role in the global marketplace that requires all international entities to invest in.

What is translation?

Translation converting verbal or written words from one language to another. The main goal of translation is to transfer the original tone and objective of a message, taking into account cultural nuances between two languages.

There are many types of business documents that need to be translated such as contracts, reports, marketing materials, training documents, and so on.

The importance of translation

The translation is more than just choosing the right words in one language to another and making sure they have a similar meaning. Translation is connecting cultures.

Translators are people who do this job and they are required to have a near-perfect understanding of both the language and culture of the two languages. They have their own professional ways of allowing the meaning of the original message to get through. So that, audiences can grasp foreign concepts which are almost impossible to understand.

What should you care about

1. The importance of the native tongue

The native tongue or mother tongue is the language you are born speaking and comfortably use it to express every feeling and idea the best as compared to any other language. Thus, receiving information in your mother tongue is the most stable way to avoid miscommunication. And this is what translation does for you. In other words, translation help businesses speak to their audiences in the language their heart speaks.

Research from Common Sense Advisory suggests that 75% of customers “prefer to buy products in their native language.” Although English may be the world’s most popular language, other languages are growing as developing countries establish their places in the global economy.

2. The importance of native translators

To master the complex art of translation, a translator must develop an in-depth knowledge of communication and the idiosyncrasies of language and culture. Therefore, it is crucial for translation companies to hire native experts to bridge the gap.

Effective translation efforts should include these aspects: proper localization and proofreading, experience in the specific subject matter, affordability, and total quality management. Having natives professionals will ensure a translation company meets these requirements, and deliver high-quality results.

Qualified translators are also proficient writers in their native language. They are capable of grasping the accurate meaning of the original text and transferring that message in the right tone and terminology in their mother tongue.

3. The importance of choosing a professional translation service

As aforesaid, inaccurate translation can cause serious negative effects on your brand image and operation in the process of expanding to a new market. If you want to establish a firm foothold in a foreign country, it is a must to seek and partner with a company that is able to provide worthwhile language translation services.

Outsourcing the translation tasks will not only offer a more effective, cost-saving option as compared to handling an in-house translation team but also grant your business access to the expertise and technical resources that translation requires.
